Breaking Ground provided design-build services, general contracting, and construction management for the renovation of Chamblin’s Uptown, a bookstore and coffee shop located in a two-story, 10,000 square foot historic building in Downtown Jacksonville. The project was part of Jacksonville’s urban revitalization plan and included demolition, structural design and repair, exterior modifications and new interior finishes. New plumbing, HVAC, electrical and a fire sprinkler system and riser were also installed.
